Trailing of the Sheep - Part One

from $18.00

Celebrate Idaho’s rural traditions with this painting inspired by The Trailing of the Sheep in Sun Valley, Idaho. A reflection of my childhood, it captures the joyful chaos of hundreds of sheep passing through town every spring and fall, creating a truly one-of-a-kind ‘sheep traffic jam.’ This artwork blends timeless neutral tones with the essence of Sun Valley art, perfect for collectors seeking unique Idaho landscapes or meaningful countryside scenes.

This series of acrylic paintings highlights the beauty and simplicity of Idaho’s countryside. Rendered in soft, neutral tones, each piece features delicate textures that bring depth and movement to the scenes. Two of the paintings evoke the fresh, crisp air of early spring, while the third captures the warm, golden hues of late summer. The skies are expansive and serene, reflecting Idaho’s vast open landscapes, while the sheep add a sense of life and nostalgia.

Whether you’re drawn to textured artwork, serene landscapes, or a personal connection to Idaho’s unique culture, these paintings offer a timeless addition to your collection

Sizing Note: The following sizes maintain the original painting's aspect ratio and will not be cropped. Other listed sizes will be slightly cropped (but don’t worry - they all look great!) - 9×12”, 12×16”, 18×24”, and 30×40”, 36×48”

Paper: Cold press, high-quality, archival grade, acid-free, 100% cotton rag inkjet paper.

Frames for paper prints are solid wood with optical-grade clear acrylic, available in white, black, and oak. Interested in matting? Message me for custom orders. Frame dimensions: 1.25″ w x 0.875″ h.

Stretched Canvas: 1.50” thick and printed on thick, archival-grade canvas that will not yellow over time. All canvas prints come with hanging wire installed.

Canvases can be framed in minimalist wood floater frames. These frames come in black, white, oak, espresso, and natural wood. The natural wood option has a more ‘raw’ appearance to it - please select oak if you are concerned about it being perfectly smooth.

Lead Time: 1.5-2 weeks. Need rushed printing/shipping? Message me for additional options.

Custom sizing: Needing a different size? Most prints can be adjusted to fit multiple sizes. If the size you’re looking for isn't listed, send me a message and we’ll see what’s possible!
